The Service
We are pleased to be offering an excellent late 20th Century silver 8 place settings canteen in Old English Thread Pattern. The service provides for ten pieces per 8 place settings with four serving spoons.
All the pieces were made by Carrs of Sheffield in 1995 and the silver handled knives are fitted with stainless steel blades.
Old English Thread Pattern
Old English Pattern was first introduced circa 1770 and within 10 years had already been tastefully decorated along the handle edges with the addition of a feather edging, beading or thread. The simple border adds discreet decoration to take away the plainness whilst leaving the elegance.
