Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a wonderful arts & crafts silver plate or charger hallmarked for WG Connell.

At 12" diameter, this is a good-sized charger with an all over gentle spot-hammered appearance from its traditional hand-raising production method and a superb chased band of rosettes and oak leaves around the border. It just looks fabulous! It is in fine condition too with nothing negative to report and a clear set of hallmarks.

Connell were a top London retailer based in Cheapside within The City. They specialised in selling "beaten silver" by the top arts and crafts silversmiths of the day and William George Connell was described as being "one of the pioneers of modern artistic silverware".
