Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Dating from the late twenties or early thirties, this is a beautiful, rectangular silver tray from the Georg Jensen workshop.

Each of the four corners is embossed with a flower bud motif from the Blossom pattern range. The full range of Georg Jensen sterling marks to the underside can accurately date this piece to the 1925-32 period. There are a few small, black salt stains, but overall this tray is in excellent condition.

Created in 1905, "Blossom" was one of Georg Jensen's earliest designs and was given the catalogue number 2. This rare tray has the design number 2A and was originally intended to complement other Blossom pattern tea ware - for example the teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl that are numbered 2B, 2C & 2E.
