Serving Tongs - Fiddle & Thread Pattern - London 1812 by Eley, Fearn & Chawner - 23cm, 183 grams - DS/9044

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Silver serving tongs were multi-functional, but those made with solid arms, such as the one we are offering, are often called chop servers.

This high-quality antique pair has two strong arms with corrugated serving grips and a restrainer bar around the middle to prevent over-stretching. These Georgian tongs are in the desirable fiddle & thread pattern and were made by the important three-way partnership of William Eley, William Fearn & William Chawner.

They are in superb, crisp condition with no engravings and no signs of any being removed. A fabulous pair of Georgian silver serving tongs.
