The "Tree of Life" is one of the most popular of all 20th century silver caddy spoons and this is a first rate example.
Made by the highly esteemed HG Murphy, this art deco caddy spoon has a pleasing, solid feel in the hand and beautifully detailed handle. The Tree of Life motif was used extensively by Murphy on his fine hand-made Art Deco silverware, but it was on the caddy spoon that it proved most effective.
This silver tea caddy spoon is in excellent condition with clear London hallmarks for 1929 and a great example of Murphy's Falcon Studio trademark (a falcon tied with a jess).
