Sorry, this item is out of stock.

We are offering a fabulous Scottish provincial table spoon offered at a very competitive price. This good quality spoon is marked for the mid-18th century Tain based silversmith, Hugh Ross. The hallmarks include the sought after St. Duthacs mark (the patron saint of Tain), plus a stylised "E" and "HR" conjoined maker's mark. The reverse of the terminal is engraved with a sun in splendour crest surmounted by the motto "LUCEO NON URO" which translates to "I shall not burn". This is the motto of the Mackenzie clan.

This Hanoverian pattern table spoon is in fine condition with a good unworn bowl, fine patina and a nice feeling in the hand.
