The Star is one of the most sought after of all Georgian silver wine label forms and Susannah Barker was one of the main protagonists with her attractively engraved examples being the most cherished.
This rare, 12-point star Port label is in excellent crisp and original condition with clear hallmarks that include the incuse duty mark that can accurately date the piece to being made between December 1784 and May 1786.
