Wine Label - Madeira; Gilt: Leopard's Pelt - London 1813 by Paul Storr - 7.3cm wide; 35g - JP/2416
A spectacular example of Paul Storr's famed Lion or Leopard's Pelt silver-gilt wine label that was taken from the design of the famous Roman period Warwick Vase.
This large Georgian silver label has been superbly made with MADEIRA to the front in raised lettering on a matted background. The condition is excellent throughout with the hallmarks located to the vine leaves at the base of the front.
