Rattail Table Spoon, 1717

Sold
Table Spoon - Rattail pattern - London 1717 by Nathaniel Roe - 20cm long; 64g - GC/8334
This is an excellent, early example of a George I period silver table spoon in the Hanoverian Rattail pattern. It bears a reasonable set of Britannia Standard hallmarks and was made the specialist spoonmaker, Nathaniel Roe. The spoon is in great condition with just a tiny bruise at the bowl tip and a lovely original patina. There is an original block engraved set of betrothal initials to the reverse terminal reading "EH" over "MW".
