Marrow Scoop, London 1714

This is an excellent quality Britannia Standard silver marrow scoop. Taking the usual double-ended form, this Queen Anne period spoon has a thick central shank to give the piece a very solid appearance with a hefty weight. The hallmarks are in very good condition with a clear date letter. The maker's mark is only partly struck and is more tricky to read, but with patient research could be attributed. The overall good is excellent with original patina.
