Pill Dispenser Box - Circular: Engraved - Birmingham 1897 by A & J Zimmerman - 3.8cm long; 22g - LD/4547a

This unusual late Victorian, circular silver box is for holding and dispensing pills and was made by Zimmerman's of Birmingham.

The box is attractively engraved to the exterior with the top turning to open and close the round hole used for dispensing. There is a tab to the base and three spigots to the cover that allow the box to move from open to closed positions. The box is in fine condition with no personalised engravings and an original gilt (gold-washed) interior.
