Mustard Spoon - Bright Vine pattern - London 1867 by George Adams - 16.4cm long; 39g - DV/6000b

This is a superb silver mustard spoon! Made by Chawner & Company in the highly sought after Bright Vine pattern, this long-handled mustard spoon measures 6.3" long and would originally have been used to scoop out mustard from a tall glass bottle within a silver condiment frame.

The spoon has a good hefty weight in the hand and bears a lion crest to the back of the bowl. The decoration remains crisp and there are vestiges of the original gilding to the bowl interior. An excellent spoon in fine condition.
