Silver Mounted Glass Claret Jug, 1894 by Walker & Hall

This attractive glass claret jug has hallmarked silver mounts for Walker & Hall dating the piece to the late Victorian period.

The body of the claret has a squared profile with an expertly cut design surrounding central dimples. The silver mounts are beautifully engraved with a cast finial to the hinged cover. Plenty big enough to take a full, standard bottle of wine, this top quality claret jug remains in excellent condition with neither damage nor repair to either the glass or silver.
