Silver medicine spoons from the early Georgian period are very rare and this is a great example with the added bonus of an engraved armorial.

The spoon has a dessert-spoon sized bowl for administering medicine and a short, curved handle with original engraved coat of arms to the reverse side of the terminal. The stem is struck three times with the "EP" maker's mark of Edward Pocock - a top quality specialist spoonmaker of the 1720's and 30's.

This early 18th century silver medicine spoon remains in excellent condition with just the tiniest touch of sharpness to the leading edge of the bowl.
