Marrow Scoop - Double-ended - 23.1cm long; 46 grams - London 1809 by Mary & Eliza Sumner - TD/9163

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is an excellent example of a George III silver marrow scoop made by the unique silversmithing partnership comprising a mother and daughter.

This double-ended marrow scoop takes the standard form and is in excellent antique condition with a clear set of hallmarks (retailer scratch marks are also present on the central shank). Mary Sumner was the widow of the specialist spoonmaker William Sumner I and entered her first mark in 1807 before being joined in business by her daughter Eliza in 1809 for the next four years.
