Cast Scallop Whisky Label, 1865

Cast wine labels are always a pleasure to handle because of the quality they exude and this Victorian label is no exception to the rule. It is beautifully modelled as a scallop shell, has a good hefty feel and is pierced "WHISKY" to the centre. This decanter label bears the hallmarks of a lesser known London maker with the "AM" maker's mark adjacent to the retainer ring and showing in the final photo. Excellent condition throughout.
