Combination Scent Bottle & Vinaigrette - Circular - London 1873 by Sampson Mordan - 4.9cm diameter; 6.3cm x 1.3cm; 68g - EP/1375
This beautiful scent bottle has a hinged cover to one side, which when opened reveals the hinged grille of a vinaigrette. It is typical of the ingenious and expertly made wares of Sampson Mordan and Co. The applied floral decoration is sumptuous and the whole has a mellow gilt on matt background finish. A chain prevents the loss of the small screw-thread cover to the perfume flask and is attached to the main suspension chain with finger ring which holds the whole. The full set of hallmarks are located under the pierced grille of the vinaigrette. Excellent condition throughout.
