Jockey Cap caddy spoons are among the most iconic tea caddy spoon forms and remain a "must-have" for any collection.

The jockey cap caddy spoon was first introduced in 1797. This particular spoon is hallmarked for 1798 and although there is no maker's mark, an exact copy can be seen as plate 95a in "Caddy Spoons: An Illustrated Guide" by John Norie - the example in the book is dated as 1801 and also with no maker's mark, but attributed as probably by Thomas Willmore.

This Georgian period novelty silver caddy spoon has a wide, brimmed peak and ribbed effect around the crown and across the visor. The final photo shows the varieties of jockey cap caddy spoons that are available from a small selection currently being offered. The condition is excellent throughout.
