An excellent example of a very rare silver serving fork made in York by the three-way partnership of Hampston, Prince & Cattles.
This 11.2" long, Old English pattern fork has a curved bowl with six prongs. Often termed as potato forks, this type of large spork could have many different serving functions. The front terminal is engraved with a family crest and the marks to the reverse are deeply struck. Excellent condition throughout.
