This very stylish Art Deco silver cream jug wa made by one of the main protagonists of the movement in the UK - Robert Edgar Stone - and in addition to the clear RES maker's mark within the hallmarks, his facsimile name is stamped to the underside. The body of the jug shows light hammering from the hand making of the piece and it has a nice solid feel in the hand. This is a really elegant example of an RE Stone silver cream with the further bonus of being in fine condition.
