Table Spoon - King's Hourglass pattern - London 1812 by Paul Storr - 22.3cm long; 100g - HZ/7468

Paul Storr introduced many new flatware patterns to the design book of the royal goldsmiths Rundell, Bridge & Rundell and King's Hourglass proved one of the most popular.

This silver table spoon has excellent, crisp, double-struck decoration and the front terminal is engraved with a crest and a five-pearl coronet of an Earl. As might be expected given its heritage, this spoon has a good heavy feel in the hand. It is in fine condition with a thick bowl tip.
