Basting Spoons (pair) - Fiddle, Thread & Shell Pattern - London 1814 by Paul Storr - 32.5cm long; 386g combined weight - BN/7224

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

These are an outstanding quality pair of George III period silver basting spoons made by Paul Storr.

The condition is fabuous throughout with good thick bowl tips, crisp decoration and a fine antique patina. These 12" long serving spoons are in the premier flatware pattern, fiddle, thread & shell with a diamond heel to the reverse of the bowl and as such are very early examples of this design. The terminals remain free from engravings (no erasures) and the hallmarks are clear including the all-important "PS" maker's mark.
