Salver - London 1837 by Paul Storr - 18.5cm diameter; 3cm high; 373g - YN/8563
Paul Storr is generally acknowledged as the greatest English silversmith of the 19th century and this silver salver exemplifies his work.
At 7.25" diameter it is not a large tray, but with its very hefty weight it packs a punch and has both the look and feel of the very best quality. The four feet are superbly modeled and the engraved crest to the middle of the chased central area is further testament to the rich heritage of this fine piece.
Made in the year that Victoria became Queen, this salver is in fine condition with a clear "PS" mark of the maker.
