Shoe Buckles (pair) - Silver Chapes - London c.1775 by John Faux - 6.8cm x 5.3cm; 88g - OE/7951

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

We are pleased to offer this most attractive pair of Georgian silver shoe buckles with the unusual bonus of having silver chapes. The fastening chapes are generally made from steel and can be prone to rusting, however the chapes on this pair are appropriately hallmarked and are in fine condition. The buckles bear lion passant marks and the distinctive scroll "JF" maker mark for John Faux. They are also engraved with the originial ownership initials "MS". An excellent quality pair in wonderful condition.

We also currently have a pair of tea tongs in stock made by John Faux in partnership with George Love - please click photo below for details.
