Basting Spoons (pair) - Fiddle pattern - Newcastle 1850 by Clement Gowland - 31.3cm long; 246g - JR/5001
These are a wonderful quality pair of silver basting spoons (also known as gravy or stuffing spoons) in the Fiddle Pattern. They retain their original thick bowl tips, benefit from having no engravings and are in lovely polished condition. The Newcastle hallmarks to the reverse side remain crisp and easily legible and include the "CG" maker's mark for Clement Gowland of Bishopwearmouth (now part of Sunderland).
