Salt Spoons (pair) - Fiddle Pattern - Greenock circa 1820 - 10.3cm long; 22g combined weight - MH/3318a

This pair of silver fiddle pattern silver salts spoons bear clear Scottish provincial marks for Greenock.

The marks consist of a Green Oak and an Anchor - both crisply struck twice on each spoon. The maker did not strike a personal mark and so remains unknown (see mark GR40 in "Directory of Scottish Provincial Silversmiths and Their Marks" by Richard Turner). The spoons are free from any engravings and remain in fine condition.
