Toddy Ladles (pair) - Fiddle Pattern - Dumfries circa 1830 by mark Hinchsliffe - 16.8cm long; 70g combined weight - LP/3523

These are a lovely elegant pair of Georgian silver toddy ladles made circa 1830 by Mark Hinchsliffe in Dumfries.

The ladles are well-marked with clear examples of the distinctive "M" within circular "Hinchsliffe" maker's mark and additional fouled anchor, crown and letter "X" marks. Made in the fiddle pattern, these Scottish provincial silver ladles are engraved with lovely crests to the front terminals and remain in fine condition with an excellent antique patina.
