Pair of Georgian Candlesticks, 1788

A very elegant pair of Neo-Classical shaped candlesticks which date from the early period of Sheffield silver production. These beautiful candlesticks have a good feeling of quality and both candlesticks and sconce nozzles are engraved with an excellent griffin crest. The round bases remain plain and the stems and capitals have restrained, chased acanthus leaf decoration. These candlesticks benefit from being in superb condition and are a delight to look at.
