Ornate Pair Regency Candlesticks, 1820

Candlesticks (pair) - Round based with acanthus, cherub and bead decoration - Sheffield 1820 by Furniss, Poles & Turner - 30.8cm high; 14.8cm diameter base - BV/8297
These are a fabulous pair of tall and imposing Georgian silver candlesticks in a most unusual style. They are highly decorated with bands of acanthus leaves and beading and a set of cherub masks around the base and capitals. The two removable sconce nozzles are similarly decorated and ease the cleaning of spent wax.
These 12" high candlesticks have a large diameter base, are loaded and have a terrific heavy weight - no chance of toppling over! They are in stunning condition throughout with crisp decoration and none of the typical condition issues that can blight this type of piece (e.g. no holes, repairs etc). A fine pair of Regency candlesticks!
