Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Made during the year of American Independence, these fabulous 12" long silver basting spoons are ideal for all manner of serving purposes and and are often also termed as stuffing spoons or gravy spoons.

As Georgian basting spoons go, these are particularly fine Old English pattern examples with a good weight and superb engraved crests of birds to the front terminals. They were made by Thomas Chawner who was one of the leading spoonmakers of the period. The condition is also excellent throughout with a lovely patina and good, unworn bowls.
