The Birmingham based silversmithing partnership of Cocks & Bettridge produced some very innovative silver caddy spoons, but one of the most favoured is the spade.
With its hollow "T"-shaped handle and diaper engraved shovel-shaped bowl, this fine Georgian example is in excellent condition with a clear set of hallmarks.
