Newcastle Table Spoon, 1737 Geo Bulman
Sold
Table Spoon - Hanoverian - Newcastle 1737 by George Bulman - 20cm long; 63g - HF/8375b
This fine, hefty Georgian silver table spoon has the bonus of a good set of scarce Newcastle assay office marks. Made by George Bulman, the spoon has a great feel to it and remains in fine condition with a lovely patina. There is an engraved crest to the reverse terminal with a touch of wear from use.
Newcastle-made silver spoons from the first half of the 18th century are very scarce and this is a good example.
