Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This beautiful Georgian silver sugar vase was made by the Bateman family partnership of Peter (son of Hester) and his sister-in-law Ann.

Complete with its original cover with appropriate part hallmarks, this NeoClassical vase-shaped bowl would have been intended for use in combination with a sifter spoon for sprinkling sugar over summer fruits, desserts and puddings. It has a most attractive pedestal form with lobed panelling and an engraved cartouche to one side.

The sugar vase is fully hallmarked to the underside, is in superb condition with crisp engraving and has a lovely antique patina.
