Naturalistic Silver Caddy Spoon, 1848 H&T
£220.00
Caddy Spoon - Naturalistic - Birmingham 1848 by Hilliard & Thomason - 8.2cm long; 10g - GM/4823
Hilliard & Thomason produced a range of superb naturalistic silver caddy spoons and this example is one of their finest.
With its leafy tendril handle and fluted, shovel-shaped bowl, this distinctive silver caddy spoon is a truly beautiful example that really makes an impact. The bowl is gilt and cleverly chased with a flower motif left in silver to give a two-tone effect and the tendril handle has a flower head to the terminal.
This Victorian caddy spoon bears Birmingham hallmarks to the bowl and is in fine, collectable condition.
