Caddy Spoon - King's Hourglass Pattern with Fan Bowl - Birmingham 1825 by John Bettridge - 9.4cm long; 9g - BG/5292
Made by the highly accomplished Birmingham silversmith John Bettridge, this George IV period silver caddy spoon has a fabulous ornate bowl.Die-stamped with scrolls and shells around a central scallop and attached to a King's Hourglass handle, this really does make for a striking design. Unusually the hallmarks are located to the front of the stem leaving the reverse side of the handle completely plain.
This 200-year old caddy spoon is in excellent condition.
