Condiment Ladle - Military Thread & Shell Pattern - London 1868 by George Adams (Chawner & Company) - 13.5cm long; 32g - PB/5606

This is a cracking silver condiment ladle made by Chawner & Company in the scarce Military Thread & Shell pattern.

This spoon measures 5.5" long and would have been used to scoop condiments or spices from a bottle within a much larger frame. The condition is superb with crisp decoration, no engravings and clear hallmarks. A faint line can be seen on the back near the hallmarks indicating where it rested for many years against the top rim of the bottle.
