A very fine pair of King's Pattern silver asparagus tongs. These serving tongs date from the late Georgian period (reign of William IV) and are fully hallmarked with the makers mark by the bar on the opposite side to all the other marks. The two serving sections are beautifully pierced, with one having a holding lip and a restraining bar across.
The decoration is very crisp and the outside of the bow is engraved with a crest. Excellent quality and condition throughout.
