Caddy Spoon - Cuff Handle on Planished bowl - Birmingham 1898 by Keswick School of Industrial Art - 6.5cm long; 16.2g - GM/7170

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This exquisite silver caddy spoon was made during the Victorian period and is an early production by the Keswick School of Industrial Arts, bearing clear hallmarks for the same. It has a wonderful dainty appearance with a plain planished bowl in the arts & crafts manner and a short decorated cuff handle. Probably designed by Harold Stabler, this is a very rare KSIA pattern with the bonus of excellent condition throughout.

"By 1898 the school had over 100 pupils attending classes and full time craftsmen were employed to execute works to Stabler's designs" - extract from "The Loving Eye and Skilful Hand" by Ian Bruce.
