Straining spoon - Celtic Point with Bright-cut Star - Dublin 1781 by John Bolland - 31.5cm long; 126g - CP/2484

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a superb silver strainer spoon in the quintessentially Irish flatware pattern of the late 18th century - Celtic Point with Bright-cut Star.

This is a large 12" long serving spoon with a fabulous feel in the hand. Perfect for straining vegetables and sauces, there is straining section along the length of the bowl which is attractively pierced with shaped vertical slats and the continuation of the engraving along its top is a nice added attention to detail.

The front terminal is engraved with an excellent crest featuring a hand holding a horn. The condition is fabulous with super-crisp engraving and a good set of Dublin hallmarks including the IB maker's mark of John Bolland.
