Table Spoon - Hanoverian Scroll-back - London 1756 by Thomas Devonshire and William Watkins - 21cm long; 63g - WW/8325
This is a stunning example of a Georgian scroll back silver table spoon with all the features you could want from such a piece. The spoon has a really good, hefty weight and benefits from being in superb condition with thick bowl rim, a crisp scroll in relief to the reverse of the bowl, script engraved "D" to the reverse terminal and a nice overall patina. The hallmarks on this Hanoverian pattern spoon are clear too and include the rarely found "TD/WW" maker's mark for Devonshire & Watkins. A fine spoon!
