Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Late 18th century silver sugar sifter spoons tended to be a little smaller than their 19th century counterparts and this attractive example is the typical size for the period.

The bowl of the spoon is pierced with a combination of crosslets and roundels to the centre and scrolls around the edge - some of these have been particularly finely pierced with the addition of tendrils. The spoon is in the elegant Old English pattern and was made by the partnership of George Smith and William Fearn (GS/WF) who were integral to the most important dynasty of specialist silver spoonmakers of the Georgian period.

Free from any personalised engravings, this sugar sifter spoon is a fine example of its type and remains in excellent condition.
