This beautiful silver nutmeg grater has crisp and attractive bright-cut engraved decoration all over the exterior with original script monogram to the centre of the top. The hinged cover lifts to reveal a steel rasp and the underside is also hinged to retrieve the grated spice. The hinge to the underside has been made flush to maintain a flat surface and the bright-cutting cleverly hides it.
From the top quality London workshop of Phipps and Robinson, this fine quality antique nutmeg grater bears a full set of clear hallmarks under the cover and is appropriately part marked on the body and lower cover. It is in excellent all round condition.
