This splendid antique silver-gilt canister or jar just oozes the best quality.

Made by the top quality partnership of Reily & Storer, this cylindrical box is beautifully decorated all over with flowers and scrolls. The lower part of the canister is flat chased to enable comfortable handling, whilst the upper part and lift-off cover are deep chased to give good grip and whole gilded to give an opulent feel. The calibre of workmanship is top drawer and even the underside of the foot is decorated.

This attractive cylinder could be used as a small tea caddy, dressing table jar or sweets container. It has a nice heavy feel in the hand and is a superb piece of late Georgian period silver in fantastic condition.
