This is a very pretty Georgian silver cream pail made by a specialist basket maker. It has very attractive openwork design with two rows of flower heads on a backdrop of trellis work. There is a round cartouche to one side that is engraved with a crest depicting the Prince of Wales' feathers. The swing handle is in the form of two overlapping strips with graduating ovals between. The basket is fitted with a blue glass liner. The condition is excellent throughout.
