Sugar Nips - London circa 1735 by W? - 11.1cm long; 25g - GR/1146

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

These are a fine pair of Georgian silver sugar nips in excellent condition. They bear original initials "S*B" to one side of the central boss and slightly later "BR" to the other. They have a attractive shell grips and the pivot is tight thus giving these nippers a great feel in the hand. The finer rings bear clear lion passant marks and part worn maker's marks (begins with a "W"). Neither damage nor repair and a very satisfying pair.
