Sugar Nips - London c.1735 by G Nash - 11.5cm long; 32g - AY/5335
These are a fine pair of Georgian silver sugar nips or tea tongs. They bear a clear mark to each bowl: a lion passant for the 1720-39 period and a "GN" maker's mark in heart-shaped punch for the specialist maker Gawen Nash. Their form helps date them to the 1730's.
