Georgian 'Rose' Teaspoon, 1765

Sold
Teaspoon - Rose back - London circa 1765 by Robert Sallam - 12.2cm long; 14g - PA/9693
This is a very scarce example of a Georgian picture back teaspoon with a rose motif to the reverse of the bowl. The rose has four flowers on the plant and a Tudor rose motif at the base of the stem. The spoon is in good overall condition with original patina and only minor loss of detail to the motif. The spoon is typically marked for pre-1780 teaspoons with a clear "RS maker's mark.
