Basting Spoon - Onslow with feather-edge pattern - London 1775 by Robert Ross - 28.8cm long; 85g - SR/7795

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a fabulous spoon in a rare variant of the popular Onslow Pattern. This long, Georgian basting spoon has beautiful feather edge decoration along its front stem and is in excellent all over condition. It bears a good set of bottom-struck hallmarks and retains its original bowl tip. A fine spoon!

Onslow Pattern was first made in the 1750's and is supposedly named in honour of the Arthur Onslow the highly respected politician and Speaker of the House of Commons.
