Chamberstick - Gadroon with shell handle - London 1813 by Rebecca Emes & John Barnard - 100mm high; 133mm diameter; (160mm wide incl. handle); 302g - MO/3236
This is a wonderful quality Georgian silver chamberstick made by one of the best partnerships of the Regency period. The handle of this chamber stick is most unusual being in the form of an ergonomically designed concave shell (fits the thumb perfectly), rather than the usual looped handle. The original sconce nozzle (to enable easy cleaning of spent wax) and candle extinguisher remain in situ to this portable candlestick. Excellent quality and condition with clear hallmarks to all component parts.
