Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a beautifully elegant Georgian silver coffee pot in the Classical taste. The vase-shaped body stands on a pedestal foot and the hinged cover has an acorn finial. The wooden handle is probably a later addition, but is nevertheless a good fit. There is an engraved crest to one side of the body depicting a cat behind bars and the motto "Prospectando". This a superb quality coffee pot made by one of the most important specialist hollowware makers (large worker) of the period. It is in excellent condition with clear hallmarks to the underside of the foot..
